Kady Nordstrom is a lover of the planet and all the beings that inhabit it. Growing up under the big sky of Montana, it is this love and fascination with the human experience that drew them to the arts at a young age. Kady leads with empathy and curiosity in their work as an actor, writer, and producer.

Kady is grateful for the training and collaboration that has shaped them as a performer as well as a person. After graduating with a BFA in Acting from the University of Montana, Kady was thrilled to join the artistic community in Chicago. A gifted actor in everything from contemporary musicals to Shakespeare, Kady is particularly passionate about new plays, and hopes to make work that speaks to the times in which we live.

Inspired by the vibrant independent theatre scene in Chicago, in 2024, Kady and a group of their closest friends started the theatre company Here’s The Exit. For their first project, the company produced the U.S. premiere of The Huns by Michael Ross Albert, in which Kady also performed. The show was well received, and opened the door for Here’s The Exit to continue their contributions to the Chicago arts landscape. 

Outside of their work, Kady relishes taking the time to practice yoga, enjoy a leisurely bike ride or walk, or curl up with a good book and their cat, Pattern. They are most likely to be found in the kitchen, where they’re probably cooking or dancing to Abba– though Pattern would prefer if they were feeding her (again). 

They would be nothing without their wonderful friends and family for whom they are incredibly grateful.
